HOBOKEN, NJ -- The RIT men's soccer team was defeated by Stevens Tech (7-2-0, 1-0-0 E8) 4-0 in Empire 8 action on Saturday afternoon. The loss drops RIT to 2-5-1 overall and 0-1-0 in the Empire 8.
Todd Sheridan scored the game-winner less than three minutes into the game for Stevens. Zach Adler tallied twice and junior Nolan Sandberg once as the Ducks outshot the Tigers 24-8 on the day.
RIT had four corner kicks to the Ducks six and committed 15 fouls.
Ben Frazier (Westminster, MD/Westminster) got the start in net for RIT allowing four goals and making three saves.
The Tigers return to action on Tuesday, September 29 when they face the University of Rochester. Kick-off is at 7 pm at Fauver Stadium.
