ITHACA, NY -- The RIT women's basketball team ended the 2008-09 season by losing to Ithaca, 80-59 on Sunday afternoon. RIT finishes the season with a 4-21 overall mark, 1-15 in the Empire 8. Ithaca (17-8, 13-3 E8) is the top-seed in next weekend's Empire 8 Tournament. Ithaca used a 25-5 run spanning both halves to pull away.

Sharon Dennis (Liverpool, NY/Liverpool)# (Liverpool, NY/Liverpool) led all players with 21 points, 13 boards and three blocks. It is her sixth straight double-double and 15th of the season. She finishes the year seventh all-time at RIT in points in a season (341), second in rebounds (282), first in blocks (85) and fourth in field-goal percentage (.472).
#Danielle Furman (Coudersport, PA/Coudersport)# (Coudersport, PA/Coudersport) added 11 points. She also became RIT's all-time leader in three-pointers made with 123.
#Charley Scott-McGrail (Batavia, NY/Notre Dame)# (Batavia, NY/Notre Dame) scored 11 points and added seven boards.
Megan Rumschik led three Bombers in double figures with 13 points. Jeanine Burke tallied 12 points, while Tracy Bradley added 11.
Ithaca shot 44 percent from the field, while RIT shot 37 percent. The Bombers out-rebounded RIT, 46-39.
