Men's swimming falls to Rochester

ROCHESTER, NY -- The RIT men's swimming and diving team was defeated by the University of Rochester, 169-131 this afternoon at the Judson Pool. The loss drops RIT to 3-2 in dual meets this season.

Junior Jeff Kaemmerlen (Fairport, NY/Fairport) posted wins in two individual events, winning the 50-yard freestyle (21.08), and the 100-yard butterfly (52.09).

Evan Wendt (Norwich, NY/Norwich High School) won both the one-meter and three-meter diving competitions. He posted a winning score of 277.00 in the one-meter competition and 302.60 points in the three-meter competition.

Kevin Christiansen (Penfield, NY/Penfield) and #A.J. Broderick# each were winners for the Tigers. Christiansen won the 100-yard backstroke in a time of 48.56, while Broderick won the 200-yard breaststroke in a time of 2:19.04. Broderick also took home second in the 200-yard IM with a time of 2:04.52.

The Tigers are off until Thursday, January 7 when they face SUNY Brockport.
