ROCHESTER, NY -- The RIT men's soccer team defeated Buffalo State (5-7-1) 1-0 in non-conference action on Tuesday afternoon. The win is the fourth straight for the Tigers as they improve to 6-6-1 overall.
RIT controlled play for the entire game, out-shooting the Bengals 17-5. The Tigers took three corner kicks to Buffalo State's two. The Bengals committed 19 fouls to 12 for the Tigers.
Ben Frazier (Westminster, MD/Westminster) picked up the shut out win for RIT, making three saves. Brian Dudek made five saves in a loss for the Bengals.
The game's lone goal came in the 34th minute.
Dom Colaprete (Spencerport, NY/Spencerport) fired a long shot from 30 yards out that sailed over Dudek's outstretched hands and into the net. It was Colaprete's team-leading fifth goal of the season and second game-winner.
RIT returns to action on Saturday, October 17 when they face Empire 8 rival Alfred University. Kick-off is at 1 pm in Alfred University.
