WILLIAMSPORT, PA - The RIT wrestling team (2-6-1) went 1-1 on Saturday and finished 3-2 at the 21st Annual Budd Whitehill National Dual Tournament, held at Lamade Gymnasium on the campus of Lycoming College.  The Tigers fell to Messiah, 25-16 on Saturday morning, and tied King's 22-22 later in the day.  Although the match was tied, RIT was awarded the win for tournament purposes due to less forfeits.

Junior #Mike McInally (Bergen, NY/Byron-Bergen)# (Byron, NY/Byron-Bergen) stayed undefeated at 125 lbs., moving to 17-0 after defeating Andrew Rentzel, 14-3 of Messiah and Mike Tobasco of King's 16-4.   McInally is currently ranked fourth in Division III at 125 lbs. 

Senior #Luke Baum (Ontario, NY/Wayne)# (Ontario, NY/Wayne) also finished 5-0 on the weekend.   On Saturday, Baum pinned Domineak Commodore of Messiah in 5:27 and earned a forfeit win over King's.  Baum is now 20-4 this season, ranked sixth in Division III at 141 lbs.

Junior  #Jason Wake (Delhi, NY/Delaware Academy)# (Delhi, NY/Delaware Academy) picked up a 5-3 win over Craig Gin of Messiah at 165 lbs., and a 4-1 victory over Mike Reilly of King's at 174 lbs.  Sophomore #Stephan Avorkliya (Charlotte, NC/East Mecklenburg)# (Charlotte, NC/East Mecklenburg) recorded an 8-4 victory at 197 lbs. over Tim Hopkins of Messiah and a 4-0 win over Kevin Doherty of King's.  Avorkliya was 4-1 over the weekend.

Sophomore #Zach Feador (North Olmsted, OH/North Olmsted)# (North Olmsted, OH/North Olmsted) pinned Ryan Trees of King's in 2:59 for a victory at 165 lbs.
