BUFFALO, NY -- RIT's Dan Holowaty (Strongsville, OH/St. Ignatius) (Strongville, OH/St. Ignatius) scored in the 84th minute to lead RIT to a 1-0 win over on Tuesday afternoon. The win snaps a five-game losing streak and improves RIT to 2-5-0 on the season.

The Tigers were out-shot 8-1 in the first half but held the Bengals off the scoreboard as Alan Smith (Lancaster, PA/Penn Manor) (Lancaster, PA/Penn Manor) stopped two Buffalo State shots that made it on goal.

The Bengals fired seven shots in the second half but Eric Koop (Brockport, NY/Brockport) (Brockport, NY/Brockport), who played all 45 minutes, stopped two shots to pick up his first collegiate victory.

RIT had four shots, three coming in the second half. It looked as if the game was headed into overtime when freshman Bobby Bullard (Bergen, NY/Byron-Bergen) (Bergen, NY/Byron-Bergen) sent a cross to the front that Holowaty one-timed into the net for a 1-0 RIT lead. The goal was Holowaty's second of the season.

RIT will host Alfred University on Saturday afternoon at 12 p.m. in the Tigers Empire 8 opener.
