Men's Baseball Swept by Ithaca

ITHACA, NY -
The RIT baseball team (6-8, 0-2 Empire 8) dropped a pair of games to conference leading Ithaca (18-6, 10-0 Empire 8) on Saturday afternoon at Freeman Field.  The Tigers fell by a score of 3-0 in game one and lost game two, 12-0.

Geoff Dornes (Landisville, PA/Hempfiled) (Landsville, PA/Hempsfiled) pitched a complete game for RIT in game one, allowing nine hits and striking out two.  Shane Wolf pitched complete-game shut-out for Ithaca allowing only five hits and striking out ten.  Ithaca's Rob Raux had two runs, two hits and two RBIs.

In game two, Matt George (Walton, NY/Walton) (Walton, NY/Walton) and Kyle Desrosiers (North Attleboro, MA/Xaverian Brothers) (North Attleboro, MA/Xaverian  Brothers) each had one hit for RIT.  For Ithaca, Pete MacDaniel earned the win, pitching five innings allowing two hits and striking out five.  Matt Samela, Drew Ash and Dylan Perez scored two runs each for the Bombers. 

The Tigers are back in action again tomorrow at the Freeman Field with another double header against Ithaca beginning at 1p.m.
