ROCHESTER, NY - The #5 RIT women's hockey travels down I-390 to play the #1 Elmira College Soaring Eagles in a battle of ECAC West and Division III heavyweights at the Murray Athletic Center on Friday, Nov. 14 and Saturday, Nov. 15.  Friday's game starts at 7 p.m., while Saturday's contest gets underway at 2 p.m.

RIT (3-0-0, 2-0-0 ECAC West) moved up one spot to #5 in the latest USCHO.com Division III Women's Hockey poll after sweeping Neumann College last weekend in a pair of conference contests, 6-1 and 8-2.  Senior forward and captain #Keltie Jones (Burlington, Ontario/Burlington Jr. Barracudas)# (Burlington, Ontario) tallied three goals and three assists in the two wins, while sophomores #Sarah Dagg (St. George, Ontario/Hamilton Hawks)# (St. George, Ontario) and #Amanda Klassen (Winnipeg, Manitoba/Warner Warriors)# (Winnipeg, Manitoba) each recorded three goals and two assists.  RIT tallied five power-play goals and three shorthanded goals in the two wins.

Elmira (4-0-0, 2-0-0 ECAC West) moved up one to garner the top spot in the USCHO.com poll after sweeping Buffalo State on the road, 4-1 and 3-1 last weekend.  Elmira has out-scored its foes, 23-2 this season.  Jenna McCall leads the Soaring Eagles with eight points (4-4-8), while Kayla Coady is right behind with seven (3-4-7).  Goaltender Allison Cubberly has played in all four games, recording a .974 save percentage, while allowing just two goals.

Elmira leads the all-time series between the two schools, 6-2-0.  Last season, Elmira won two out of three meetings.  The two teams split a weekend series at RIT on Nov. 30 and Dec. 1, 2007, with Elmira winning 4-1 the first night and RIT matching that score in a victory the following day.  Elmira then defeated RIT in the ECAC West Semifinal at SUNY Plattsburgh, 6-2 on March 8.
