ROCHESTER, NY – Sophomore captain
Bret Dietz (Harrisburg, PA/Bishop McDevitt) (Harrisburg, PA/Bishop McDevitt) scored in the 31st minute to lead the RIT men's soccer team (6-9-1) to a 1-0 win over Keuka College (10-3-1) at the RIT Turf Field on Wednesday evening.
Dietz took a touch pass from
Jake Yates (Waynesburg, PA/Waynesburg) (Waynesburg, PA/Waynesburg) off a free kick from 25-yards out and ripped a low rocket that skipped off the turf and into the lower right hand corner of the net, just past the out-stretched arms of Keuka goalkeeper Kyle Salo. The goal was Dietz's third of the season.
RIT dominated play throughout, out-shooting Keuka 20-7. RIT had five corner kicks to Keuka's three.

Bobby Bullard (Bergen, NY/Byron-Bergen)# (Bergen, NY/Byron-Bergen) had several great chances in the second half, but could not convert. He took a great feed from #
David Vogt (Rochester, NY/McQuaid)# (Rochester, NY/McQuaid), came in on a breakaway, but was denied by Salo. He then ripped a shot off Salo and then the right goal post late in regulation.
Senior
Alan Smith (Lancaster, PA/Penn Manor) (Lancaster, PA/Penn Manor) made four saves to earn his fourth shut-out of the season. Kyle Salo made nine saves for Keuka, who had its two-game winning streak snapped.
The Tigers wrap up the 2008 season at Nazareth on Saturday. The contest begins at 3 p.m.
