Softball Loses Two at SUNY Brockport

BROCKPORT, NY -
The SUNY Brockport pitching held the RIT offense, which scored 18 runs in its last 14 innings, to just one run on Friday.  The Golden Eagles swept RIT by scores of 2-1 and 5-0.  RIT falls to 13-19, while SUNY Brockport is now 22-8 in 2007.

Game one took just over an hour to play, as SUNY Brockport's Kelly Briscoe and RIT's Mary Keegan (West Seneca, NY/West Seneca West) (West Seneca, NY/West Seneca West) engaged in a pitcher's duel.

SUNY Brockport scored a single run in the bottom of the first.  RIT's Jenna Kilroy (Albany, NY/Academy of the Holy Names) (Albany, NY/Academy of the Holy Names) tied the game at 1 in the top of the second, as she hit her second home run of the season.  Amie Chase hit a solo home run in the bottom of the fourt inning to provide the difference.

Keegan allowed seven hits in six innings, while Briscoe limited RIT to two hits in seven innings.

In game two, Amanda Traylor threw a five-hit shutout for SUNY Brockport.

The Tigers conclude its regular season on Saturday, as they host SUNY Geneseo in a doubleheader starting at 12 p.m.  RIT will be honoring its three seniors, Keegan, Josa Hanzlik (Fairport, NY/Fairport) (Fairport, NY/Fairport) and Nikki Taylor (Oswego, NY/Oswego) (Oswego, NY/Oswego)
