ROCHESTER, N.Y.--Freshman Chris Anabel (Apalachin, N.Y./Vestal) (Apalachin, N.Y.) led the Tigers to a 3-0 (30-28,30-26,30-25) victory over SUNY Brockport. Anabel tallied 17 kills (.485%) and grabbed 11 digs. The 5-9 outside hitter is currently leading the team with 257 kills.

This game would mark the thrid match-up with the Golden Eagles, each time these teams have met RIT has walked away with the victory. Brockport led through most of the match until misguided balls and poor communication ultimately cost them the win.

Empire 8's Rookie of the Week, Bonnie Harriman (Danbury, Conn./Danbury) (Danbary, Conn.)and co-capatin Katie Sander (Scotia, N.Y./Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake) (Scotia, N.Y.)both closed out the night with 11 kills apiece. Harriman took the starting spot for tonight's dual due to the knee injury sustained by junior co-captain Amy Baxter (San Antonio, Texas/Theodore Roosevelt) (San Antonio, Texas).

The Tigers will travel to Ithaca College this weekend where they will compete against other Empire 8 schools in the Empire 8 Cross-Over Tournament.
