Cornacchia was RIT’s best player all weekend, and was a dominant force on the penalty-kill scoring two goals and adding an assist in a 1-0-1 weekend. On Friday, he scored his first goal of the season in a 2-2 tie against Army. On Saturday, Cornacchia scored his RIT Division I record fifth shorthanded goal of his career and added an assist in a 5-3 win over the Black Knights. Cornacchia had three great shorthanded chances on Saturday and is a main reason why RIT has killed off 20 straight power-play attempts.
