Lawson, a sophomore midfielder from Wall, NJ, was complimented by Coach Bill Garno as a key player in RIT’s exciting 2-0 upset win over nationally-ranked Hamilton. Garno also said his efforts during practice have been an example for the team: “his work rate has been tremendous all year, and his leadership on the field was particularly important this week as the team looked to get back on track.” The team is now 6-8-1 and will face Empire 8 rival Nazareth next, on October 22.
