Maguire earned All-American honors, finishing eighth overall at the 2018 NCAA Division III Indoor Track and Field Championships on Friday, March 9 from the Birmingham CrossPlex. Maguire earned All-American plaudits by clearing a season-best 4.90 meters on the vault. He surpassed the 4.90 meters on his final attempt at that height after getting over 4.85 meters on his second try. Maguire nearly cleared 4.95 meters, which would have allowed him to finish as high as fifth. Maguire became RIT's first indoor track and field All-American since Matt Giannino in 2015. He is just RITs second pole vaulter to earn All-American honors, as Mike Dempsey was a four-time All-American in 2010 and 2011.
