Bailey enjoyed an excellent showing, placing fifth overall out of 326 runners at the 2016 NCAA Atlantic Region Championship in a personal best time of 24:28.3 to earn All-Region honors and qualify for next weekend's NCAA Championship for the first time. Bailey was seventh at both the 2,000-meter and 5,000-meter checkpoints before moving to fifth.
