Adams broke a pair of 16-year old 100- and 200-yard breaststroke records this weekend at the UNYSCSA Championships. She was also part of two medley relay record setting teams as well. On Friday, Adams set a record in the 100-yard breaststroke, setting the mark in the prelims, breaking the 16-year old record with a time of 1:05.46. In the finals, Adams nearly topped the mark, finishing in 1:05.67, placing second. On Saturday, Adams broke the 200-yard breaststroke record not once, but twice. She broke the record in her preliminary race, posting a time of 2:26.76. Adams went on to break her own record in the finals, placing fourth in an excellent time of 2:25.26. On Thursday, the 400-yard medley relay team smashed the school mark, finishing third in a time of 3:59.88. She was also part of the record setting 200-yard medley relay team (1:49.51).
