Deacon was part of three record-setting relay teams and recorded a NCAA "B" cut time of 20.86 seconds in the 50-yard freestyle at the UNYSCSA Championships. He was the anchor leg of the record-setting 200-yard free relay (1:24.63), 200-yard medley squad (1:35.40) and 800-yard free relay team (7:00.49). The 800-free relay record broke a 29-year old school record.
