Massari led the charge at stroke seat in the men's collegiate fours race at the Head of the Charles, the biggest two day rowing regatta in the world, where the crew finished 10th overall.

"Few freshman oarsman can handle this kind of pressure. Jon has transitioned very successfully into collegiate rowing," said RIT Head Coach Jim Bodenstedt. "He has a bright future ahead and has made an immediate, positive impact on boat speed."
