Ryan Kelly begins his seventh season in 2024-25 as strength & conditioning coach at RIT and his second year as the Head Strength & Conditioning Coach, coordinating efforts for all 24 of the department's intercollegiate athletic teams. In addition to his coaching responsibilities, Kelly teaches Applied Strength and Conditioning on campus.

Kelly is currently serving a four-year term on the NCAA Committee on Competitive Safeguards and Medical Aspects of Sports (2024-2027), contributing his expertise to promote athlete health and safety.

Kelly spent the 2017-18 season at Division I Sacred Heart University, serving as the assistant strength & conditioning coach. His primary responsibilities included working with men's and women's hockey, along with men's and women's track & field. 

In addition, Kelly was a high-performance intern at the United States Olympic Training Center, and a graduate assistant strength & conditioning coach at Ithaca College from 2015-17.

Kelly earned his bachelor's degree in wellness management from SUNY Oswego in 2015 and obtained a master's degree from Ithaca in exercise and sports science in human performance.

Kelly is a National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) certified strength & conditioning specialist and is certified as a USA Weightlifting sports performance trainer as well as an American College Sports Medicine (ASCM) personal trainer.
