Emily Hawryschuk

Emily Hawryschuk begins her second season as an assistant coach at RIT in 2024-25. 
 
Hawryschuk is the founder and head coach of 51 Stars Lacrosse, an organization dedicated to nurturing the next generation of women's lacrosse players. Through 51 Stars Lacrosse, she provides comprehensive training that focuses on both on-field skills and off-field personal development, ensuring athletes excel in all aspects of the game.

Hawryschuk’s led the U.S. Women's Box Lacrosse National Team to an unprecedented milestone, earning a gold medal in international competition. Under her leadership, the team reached new heights, setting a precedent for future generations and solidifying her reputation as a visionary coach and player in the sport. She also secured a gold medal at the prestigious Super Sixes tournament in Oshawa, Canada, in October 2023. She remains actively involved in professional lacrosse as a player in the Women’s Lacrosse League (WLL) and has represented Team USA since 2019 at the senior level, with her involvement in the national program dating back to the U19 Training Team in 2013.

Hawryschuk was a standout player lacrosse at Syracuse from 2016-2022. The Orange's career goals leader (272) was a two-time IWCA All-American and three-time First Team All-ACC selection. The three-time Tweaaraton Watch list selection also ranks fourth in program history with 341 career points.
 
Hawryschuk received a bachelor’s degree in finance and accounting from Syracuse in 2020. She went on to earn a Master of Science in entrepreneurship and emerging enterprises in 2021 and a certificate of advanced study in intercollegiate athletic advising and support in 2022 from Syracuse's Whitman School of Management. She is currently an MBA candidate at RIT’s Saunders College.  Her academic background complements her coaching expertise, enabling her to approach athlete development with a comprehensive and strategic mindset.
