Biography
2017-18: Came back from Co-Op to compete in four bouts at 149 lbs., going 2-2 … finished sixth at the 2018 Empire College Wrestling Conference Championship.
2015-16: Had a breakout year, winning the most bouts (10) of his career at 141 and 157 lbs. … picked up two victories by way of pin and two major decisions … beat Steven Culbert of SUNY Oswego and Thomas Marone of SUNY Oneonta in dual meets at 141 lbs. … finished third at 157 lbs. at the 50th annual RIT Wrestling Invitational, going 6-1 on the day … went 2-2 at the Ithaca Invitational.
Before RIT: Participated in four years of varsity wrestling and water polo at Mills High School… team captain…38-8 senior record…first in Peninsula Athletics League…placed sixth at Central Coast Section…team MVP…placed first at Colt Invitational, third at the Mat Classic, and second at Bert Mar Invitational…water polo captain…offensive player of the year…inducted to the Hall of Fame for both wrestling and water polo.
Personal: Mechanical engineering technology major… son of Sangkyung and Taeyun Kim…has one brother Jason.
