Son of William and Rebecca Vermeulen
Twin brother of Kylar Vermeulen.
Enlisted in the United States Air Force with his brother after graduating high school. Is currently a reservist.
Started wrestling at the age of nine as he was “sick of taking karate lessons” and “wanted to try something different!”
Biggest influence on his athletic career: His father. “He has been there and supported me since the beginning.”
Best advice ever received: “The heights that a man can reach are purely determined by the height of his ambition.”
Favorite athletic memory: Overnight tournaments in his early high school days.
Favorite athlete: American wrestler Kyle Dake.
Hobbies include hiking, traveling, hanging out with friends, and food.
Has done charitable work with the Special Olympics as part of his fraternity Phi Sigma Kappa. Was a Jr. member of the Newark Arcadia Volunteer Ambulance throughout high school as a junior EMT.
