• Abigail Carlene Previlon was born in Stamford, Conn.
• Credits her mother, Carlene, for having the most influence on her athletic career—“She has always been there for me every step of the way and always pushed me to work harder whenever I felt like giving up.”
• A teacher recommended she start playing volleyball her first year of high school and she’s loved it ever since
