Before RIT: Competed in States for four years for the Vestal High School cross-country team . . . named an Academic All-Star . . . ran for three seasons on the varsity Indoor Track team . . . and was named all-conference for the Outdoor Track team. 
 
Personal: Mechanical engineering major . . . daughter of Janice and Rick Sutphin.
