Rory Charcholla begins his first season as an assistant coach on the RIT women’s soccer staff in 2014. He brings a wealth of coaching and playing experience to the Tigers.
Prior to joining RIT, Charcholla served on the staff at the University of Rochester from 2007-12, where the Yellowjackets won three University Athletic Association Conference titles, and competed in the NCAA national tournament four times; including an NCAA Sweet 16 appearance in 2007 and an NCAA Elite 8 appearance in 2009.
In 2012-2013 Charcholla worked with the Empire Revolution US Development Academy (USDA) teams, helping the Under-16 team make the USDA playoffs. He currently coaches youth soccer in the Western New York area – working with Syracuse Development Academy, while returning to Empire Revolution SA Rochester for the 2014-2015 season.
Charcholla began his college career playing for Messiah College, helping the Falcons to the 2002 NCAA Division III National Championship. He went on to play a season at Roberts Wesleyan College in 2003 before transferring to The College at Brockport his final two seasons, earning All-Conference honors in 2005.
Charcholla graduated from SUNY Brockport with a bachelor’s degree in psychology. He received his USSF ‘B’ License in 2014 and also holds an NSCAA Advanced National Coaching Diploma. Charcholla has worked several camps and clinics throughout the upstate New York area across the last 10 years.
