Juan Sanchez Mendez

Juan Sanchez Mendez joined the coaching staff in 2024. Before relocating to Rochester, Mendez excelled as a varsity soccer player for four years at Alhambra High School in northern California, earning two First Team All-League honors as a defender and serving as captain for half of that time. He also competed at the premier level in NorCal, contributing to his team's success in winning two state cups and various tournaments.

After high school, Mendez played one year of college soccer at the junior college level, further honing his skills and knowledge of the game. With six years of coaching experience, he began his journey in California, working with a local club while coaching at the high school level. His coaching accolades include tournament victories at the club level and a sectional championship at the high school where he served as an assistant coach.

Mendez is currently pursuing further studies at the Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT) while coaching at RNY FC and is eager to contribute to the success of the RIT Women’s Soccer Team. He is committed to fostering a culture of collective team success, motivating athletes, and developing their leadership and performance skills to help each individual reach their full potential.
