    Volunteer Assistant Coach
Former RIT women's soccer standout Emily Shoemaker begins her first season as an assistant coach for the Tigers in 2018. She will work with the defensive unit.
 
Shoemaker helped lead to RIT to 43 wins in her career and four straight appearances in the Liberty League Tournament. She helped the Tigers to their first two NCAA Tournament appearance in program history in 2012 and 2013.

Shoemaker played defense for the Tigers from 2012-15, earning Liberty League Rookie of the Year honors in 2012. She was a three-time All-Liberty League selection, earning first team honors in 2015, along with United Soccer Coaches First Team All-East Region accolades.

Shoemaker excelled in the classroom as well, earning United Soccer Coaches Scholar All-America honors in 2015. She was a three-time Liberty League All-Academic selection from 2013-15.
 
After graduation, Shoemaker attended SUNY Upstate Medical School, earning a master's degree as a Physician Assistant in the spring of 2018. After the season, Shoemaker begins her emergency medicine residency at New York Presbyterian Hospital in Manhattan.
