Former Syracuse University standout Lindsay Rogers will begin her first season as an assistant coach for the RIT women's lacrosse team in 2013. Rogers will work primarily with the Tigers defensive unit.

Rogers comes to RIT after a very successful career at Syracuse University where she excelled both in the classroom and on the field.

In 2008, Rogers helped Syracuse to the Big East Championship and was named the Big East Defensive Player of the Year. She was an IWLCA second team All-America selection, and helped an Orange defense hold opponents to less than 10 goals per game.

Rogers was a second team All-Northeast Region selection in 2009 and was a second team All-Big East selection, while recording career highs with 26 groundballs and 17 caused turnovers. In 2011, Rogers ranked third on the team with 10 caused turnovers.

Rogers graduated from Syracuse with a bachelor’s degree in exercise science with a minor in psychology. She is currently pursuing her master’s degree in industrial design, development and evaluation from Syracuse.

A West Irondequoit native, Rogers has coached at several youth camps including the Sharp Shooters Camp in Brighton, New York; the Syracuse Lacrosse Camp and has worked for the Relentless Hustle Lacrosse Club in Rochester. Rogers also taught at the St. Georges VA School in Harpenden, United Kingdom.
