Pat Sofia begins his eighth year at RIT in 2023-24 and second as Associate Athletics Director for Marketing and External Operations. Sofia was the associate AD in charge of athletic and hockey operations and was an administrator for both Division I hockey programs and game management for all 24 RIT athletics programs.

Most recently, Sofia spent two seasons as Hockey Operations Coordinator for the RIT women's hockey team, where he handled administrative, travel and equipment related responsibilities.
 
A native of Greece, N.Y., Sofia spent three seasons as an equipment assistant with the nearby Rochester Americans minor league (AHL) hockey team, serving primarily as the visiting team liaison while assisting with other duties.
 
Sofia received his bachelor’s degree in sports management from St. John Fisher in 2016, and his MBA from RIT in August of 2023.

Sofia resides in Rochester with his wife, Alysa.
