Biography
2024-25:
- Competed in five indoor and four outdoor meets
- Won the 5,000m at RIT January Thursday Invitational (Jan. 30, 2025)
- Placed fifth with a personal record in the 3,000 Steeplechase (9:53.66) at the Liberty League Outdoor Championships
BEFORE RIT:
- Placed 23rd at the New York State Class C Championships in 2023.
- Third place finisher in the 2023 Section XI Division 4 Championships.
- Suffolk County All-Sectional 2nd Team in 2023.
PERSONAL:
- Full Name: Spencer Christopher Buff.
- Son of Christine and Scot Buff.
- Has a twin brother, Stephen.
- Father, Scot, played basketball and tennis at SUNY New Paltz (1986-1990).
- Hobbies include playing the saxophone, video editing, live sound work
- Started running track in middle school, briefly paused by COVID in 2019-2020. Ran all three seasons (cross country, indoor and outdoor track) all four years of high school. Started competing in running because I had more endurance than anyone on the soccer team.
