Biography
2024:
- Took part in three outdoor events
- Finished fourth in the javelin final at the Liberty League Outdoor Championships
2023:
- Took part in seven outdoor events
- Had four first-place finishes in the javelin
- Placed third in the javelin final at the Liberty League Outdoor Championships, before finishing 10th in the final at the Atlantic Region Outdoor Championships
2022:
- Took part in three outdoor events
- Made collegiate debut at the Redhawk Invitational on 3/17/2022
- Placed first in the javelin with a personal-record of 56.74m (186' 2") at the Rochester Spring Classic on 4/8/2022
BEFORE RIT:
- Was named team captain, team MVP in senior year at Randolph High School.
- Named All-Conference and All-County in 2021 season
- Named to 2nd-team Group IV N.J. and 3rd-team All-State in 2021
- Was North 1 Group 4 sectional champion in 2021.
PERSONAL:
- Full name: Jason Robert Mohr
- Son of Susan and Gregory Mohr.
- Younger brother of Chris Mohr, older brother of Ryan Mohr.
- Born in Denville, N.J.
- Was approached by a coach after winning a field days event in middle school. Thought nothing of it until he didn’t make the baseball team, at which point he began throwing javelin competitively and fell in love with the sport.
- Best advice received in career: “Just go out there and enjoy throwing.”
- Favorite athletic memory: Making a throw that put him in the top 50 in the country and second in the state in high school.
- Favorite athletes: Lawrence Taylor, Larry Fitzgerald, and Thomas Rohler.
- Favorite team: New York Giants.
- Hobbies include skiing, playing piano, and gaming.
