Ethan Senecal

Ethan Senecal enters his fourth season with the RIT track and field team as assistant coach, with his primary area of expertise in pole vaulting and jumping.
 
While at RIT, Senecal has coached four All-Americans and multiple conference champions.  During the 2010-11 season, he coached Mike Dempsey to runner-up finishes at both the indoor and outdoor national championships.
 
A native of Moravia, New York, Senecal earned his bachelor’s degree in Physical Education, with a concentration in sports management and a minor in coaching, from SUNY Brockport in 2008.  While at Brockport, he competed for the track and field team for two seasons before suffering a career ending injury.
 
Senecal spent three years at RIT as game administration manager and six months as interim assistant director for athletics.  He currently resides in Rochester.
