Biography
2015-16: Competed in several short, middle and long distance events … had eight top-three finishes … set new personal bests in the 100-yard (49.94), 200-yard (1:47.10) and 500-yard freestyle (4:52.32) at the 2016 UNYSCSA Championships … named to the Liberty League All-Academic Team.
2016-17: Competed in several short and middle distance events … set new personal bests in the 100-yard (49.16) and 200-yard (1:46.77) freestyles … was RIT's leader in the 500-yard freestyle, with a career-best time of 4:52.29 … won the 500-yard freestyle against Fredonia State, and the 200-yard freestyle against Nazareth College … had 18 top-three finishes … named to the Liberty League All-Academic Team.
Personal: Mechanical engineering major with energy and environment minor ... son of Chris and Dave Hayes ... has two siblings, Alex and Brandon.
