Biography

Career: RIT’s all-time leader on the mound with 71 appearances … tied for third at the university with 10 saves.
 
2018:
Earned All-Liberty League first team accolades … was a d3baseball.com All-New York Region second team selection and Rawlings/American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA) New York Region third team pick … appeared in 18 contests … tied for the team lead with three saves … all three of his saves consisted of at least 1 2/3 innings of work … did not allow an earned run in 14 of his 18 appearances … earned his first win of the season, throwing 5 2/3 innings of shutout relief, allowing just three hits and using just 65 pitches to shut down Union, 9-6 … struck out a season-high five batters in four innings against then No. 1 UMass-Boston … picked up the win in the Liberty League Wildcard game against Rensselaer, striking out four batters over two scoreless innings of work … fired three innings of scoreless relief in an extra-innings contest against Rochester … threw a career-best nine innings of relief against St. Lawrence, four on April 13 in the rain and five more on May 1 to resume the suspended game … had saves against Liberty League foes Rensselaer and Clarkson … recorded an impressive 33-to-5 strikeout to walk ratio. 2017: Emerged as RIT's top bullpen arm, appearing in a school record 23 games with a 5-2 record, six saves, 2.22 earned run average and 0.95 WHIP … his six saves are tied for second most in one season at RIT … allowed 0.55 walks per nine innings and had a 11.33 strikeout-to-walk ratio, both fourth best nationally … 27th best WHIP in all of Division III … earned D3baseball.com All-Region and All-Liberty League first team honors … garnered ABCA/Rawlings All-New York Region second team accolades … struck out 33 batters, while walking just three in 48 2/3 innings  … did not walk a batter over his first 33 innings spanning 15 appearances … finished 2-0 with five saves, 18 strikeouts and zero walks in 21 2/3 innings during Liberty League regular season play … five of his six saves were longer than one inning, including two different 3 2/3 inning efforts against Skidmore and Union … opened the season by not allowing a run over his first 5 2/3 innings and allowed just one run over his first nine appearances, spanning 15 innings … picked up his first save of the season in a wild 12-11 win at Rensselaer … fired 2 1/3 innings of scoreless relief to pick up his second save a day later against Rensselaer … recorded two wins in relief against nationally-ranked rival St. John Fisher … he allowed one run in 3 1/3 innings of relief in the second win, allowing RIT to come back for a 9-5 victory … protected a 6-5 lead by coming in to fire the final 3 2/3 innings, striking out three batters in an eventual 8-5 win over Skidmore … threw a season-high 5 1/3 innings of relief on just 58 pitches, allowing three hits and a run, while striking out five batters in a 6-3 win over Vassar … earned the 3 2/3 innings save in RIT’s 6-2 win over Union in the Liberty League Tournament … was on the mound to finish the game as RIT won the Liberty League Championship over Clarkson. 2016: Emerged as a valuable contributor out of the bullpen, making 19 appearances, tied for the second most in one season at RIT … finished with a 2-1 record, one save, and 19 strikeouts in 27 innings … picked up the win in relief, allowing one run in 2 2/3 innings in an 8-4 win over The College at Brockport … fired a career-best seven scoreless innings in relief, striking out seven batters, while allowing just four hits in a wild, 7-6 victory in 15 innings over nationally-ranked Southern Maine … earned his first collegiate save by pitching the final three innings, in a scoreless effort, a 7-4 win over Clarkson University … won his final outing of the season, pitching three innings in a 12-8 win over Bard … started the season with a 1.80 earned run average over his first eight appearances, spanning 15 innings … had 11 scoreless appearances. 2015: Among the team leaders with 11 appearances, spanning 13 innings of work … struck out the side in his first collegiate appearance, a 7-1 win over Houghton in the season opener … did not allow an earned run over his first five appearances … threw three hitless, scoreless innings in relief to earn his first collegiate win, as RIT rallied to defeat The College at Brockport, 8-7 … finished 1-1 with a 4.15 earned run average overall.
