- Was on the school track and field team at the University School.

- Son of David and Stephanie McIlvaine.
- Brother of Miles, Lilly, and Violet.
- His father, David, pole vaulted in college.
- Born in Akron, Ohio.
- Has volunteered with the Leukemia Lymphoma Society.
- Favorite athletic moment: Finally being able to compete in pole vault in junior year after losing his freshman year to injury and his sophomore year to the COVID-19 pandemic.
- Best advice ever received: "Enjoy the pain, because it means you're learning. Enjoy not feeling the pain, because it means you're improving."
- Says his boxing coach has had the most influence on his athletic career, as he is able to push him to higher athletic standards.
- Got into rowing because it has always been something he's wanted to try.
- Favorite athlete: Lebron James.
- Favorite pro team: Cleveland Browns.
- Hobbies include writing, boxing, lifting, and backpacking.
