Evan Burley begins his first season as an assistant coach on the RIT men's lacrosse coaching staff. He will work primarily with the defense.

He played a critical role in the success of RIT over the past four years, regularly covering the opponent’s top attackman. He played in 57 career games with 42 career ground balls and 32 caused turnovers.

Last season, Burley was a co-captain, earning All-Liberty League Honorable Mention accolades. He played in 12 games with ground balls and eight caused turnovers.

Burley helped the Tigers defense hold opponents to 8.05 goals per game in his career.

A native of Canandaigua, New York, Burley will graduate in 2014 with a degree in Mechanical Engineering.
