Brad Gillies begins his first season as an assistant coach for the RIT men's lacrosse program. Gillies was a mainstay on RIT’s midfield from 2012-2015, and will work in all aspects of the day-to-day and game day operations of the program. He was drafted ninth overall in the 2015 National Lacrosse League Entry Draft by the Rochester Knighthawks.

Gillies, a 2015 USILA honorable mention All-American selection and a second team All-Liberty League pick, tallied 97 career points on 27 goals and 70 assists in 83 career games. He is tied for 28th all time with 219 career ground balls, and helped the Tigers to four Liberty League titles, four trips to the NCAA Division III Tournament including a championship game appearance in 2013.

A co-captain in 2015, Gillies played in all 22 games, tallying career highs in points with 53, goals with 11 and led the team with 42 assists. A three-time Liberty League All-Academic selection, Gillies graduated with a degree in Biomedical sciences and was USILA Academic All-America selection in 2015.
