BEFORE RIT
• Spent three seasons playing in the BCHL, most recently tying for 15th in the league with 51 points (27G/24A) during his second season with the Trail Smoke Eaters.
• Also was named the Salmon Arm Silverbacks top rookie in 2021-22.

PERSONAL
• Mathieu Cobetto-Roy was born in Montreal
• Son of Chantal Cobetto and Jean-Yves Roy
• Has three older siblings – Antoine, Etienne and Florence
• Enjoys playing video games, horseback riding and fishing in his spare time.
• Started playing hockey when he was five years old after watching his brother, Antoine, who he also credits as having the most influence on his career, “I admired him at a young age for his dedication to the sport – it was my first look into what it would take to become a good player. Also seeing him succeed in his professional life makes me want to push myself to become better in my current career.”
