• 2025-26 Cowichan Capitals (BCHL) Team MVP after totaling 61 points on 24 goals and 37 assists.
• 2023-24 AJHL All-Rookie First Team honoree playing for the Bonnyville Pontiacs (10G-25A)
• Graduated with honors from Appleby College in 2023, also landing team MVP honors for prep champion Whippets.
 
PERSONAL
• Jack Sterling McAra was born in Burlington, Ontario.
• Son of Andrea and Andy Mcara.
• Older sisters Paige (Western Carolina) and Hannah (North Dakota) played NCAA D1 soccer
• Enjoys pickleball, golf, and board games in his spare time.
• Volunteered at the Oakwood Breakfast Club, serving food to people in need
• Best advice received: “Control what you can control, because it helps him focus on his own effort rather than others’ opinions.”
• Credits his parents as having the most influence on his career because “they were with me every step of the way and were always there to support me and pick me up.”
• Started playing hockey at four years old because of his mom, uncle, and grandfather.
• Favorite team is the Toronto Maple Leafs; favorite player is Nathan MacKinnon.
