• First-team all-region, two-time first-team all-county and two-time captain at Clarkston High School (2022-24).
• Team MVP as a senior as well as a two-time Coach’s Award winner
• Three-sport athlete, also shining on the basketball and tennis courts
• Completed an Associates of Science degree with honors at DeKalb Early College Academy, landing Dean’s List and President’s List honors.
 
PERSONAL
• Anaiyah Sims is the daughter of Alysia Noble and Travlis Sims
• Was born in Decatur, Ga.
• Enjoys playing tennis, photography, arts & crafts and drawing in her spare time
• Volunteer experience includes working with Samaritan’s Purse and the B.O.L.D Community Food & Clothing Drive in her native Georgia…also traveled to Panama to volunteer with the Red Cross to clean up Panama Beach and promote pollution prevention
• Credits her mom for having the most influence on her athletic career, “She is the one who first put me in sports and has been my biggest supporter, no matter the sport--she never missed a game. Knowing she was always there gave me the confidence to push myself and keep going, shaping me as an athlete as well as a person. I wouldn’t be where I am without her.”
• Started playing volleyball in 2019 at her mother’s urging and, “fell in love with it” after attending a camp and hasn’t stopped playing since.
• Favorite pro athlete is Golden State Warriors point guard Steph Curry and is a fan of all her hometown teams in the Atlanta Braves, Falcons, Dream, Vibe and Atlanta United
• Classically trained pianist
• Majoring in engineering technology
