Biography

Career: Second all-time at the university with 535 at-bats … fifth with 153 hits … defensively, is RIT’s all-time leader with 371 assists.

2016: Served as one of RIT’s four team captains … played in 38 games, starting 37 … played primarily in left field due to an injury … batted .302 and was tied for second on the team with 26 runs batted in … third on the team with 32 runs scored and 14 walks … stole four bases … hit a walk-off single in the bottom of the 15th inning to lift RIT to a dramatic win over nationally-ranked Southern Maine … four days later, hit another walk-off single, scoring two runners in the bottom of the seventh inning, as RIT rallied to defeat Clarkson, 2-1 … started the season with a 12-game hitting streak, March 9 to March 26 … hit .373 over that stretch, with 10 RBIs … went 3-for-5 with three RBIs in the game two win over Clarkson … scored six runs in a doubleheader sweep over Bard on Senior Day … finished his collegiate career with three hits in the season finale against 2016 NCAA College World Series Finalist St. John Fisher … had a hit in 27 games … recorded 12 multiple-hit games … named to the Liberty League All-Academic Team. 2015: Enjoyed a breakout season offensively, batting a career-best .321 with 13 runs batted in in 37 games played, all at shortstop … third on the team with 45 hits … drew 19 walks to just nine strikeouts … stole four bases … defensively, had 118 assists, second most in program history to his 123, set in 2013 … batted .324, while starting all 21 games at shortstop in Liberty League play … ended the season with a seven-game hitting streak … batted .500 (15-for-30) during that stretch …  was 4-for-4 with a run scored and stolen base in the Liberty League regular season finale against Rensselaer … just five days later, was 4-for-5 with two runs scored and a RBI in a 10-8 win over Rensselaer in the Liberty League Tournament … had eight hits in 18 at-bats and scored four runs in the Liberty League Tournament … picked up his 100th career hit against St. John Fisher … opened the season with at least one walk in his first six games … scored a season-high three runs in victories over Colby and St. Lawrence … drove in a pair of runs on two occasions, against Colby and Vassar … reached base in 33 games … had at least one hit in 28 contests … recorded 11 multiple-hit games … defensively, had a season-high seven assists in a 7-6 win over The College at Brockport … part of 16 double plays turned. 2014: Played in all 35 games at shortstop for the Tigers, starting 34 … had 114 assists defensively, fourth most in one season at RIT … was a part of 14 double plays … had 25 hits and 15 runs batted in … stole a pair of bases … had a season-best nine assists and turned two double plays in a 2-1 win over Skidmore … drove in a pair of runs in the season opening 11-2 win over Utica … also had two RBIs in wins over Thomas and Bard … went 3-for-5 with a run scored and run batted in against St. John Fisher … was 3-for-4 with a run scored and RBI in the season finale, an 11-3 win over The College at Brockport … had five multiple-hit games. 2013: Played in 38 games, starting 37 … firmly entrenched as the RIT short stop … set a RIT school record with 123 assists … fourth most in the Liberty League … helped turn 19 double-plays … recorded an excellent .957 fielding percentage … had a season-high seven assists twice, both vs. Clarkson … hit .286 with 17 runs batted in … tied for second on the squad with seven doubles … enjoyed an eight-game hitting streak, April 7 to April 20 … went 3-for-5 with three RBI’s, two runs scored, and a double in a 20-0 win over Vassar … had five runs batted in during that doubleheader … doubled twice at Brockport … made his collegiate debut in the season-opener against Brandeis … had his first two hits, two scored, and run batted in the following day against Farmingdale State … drove in a pair of runs in back-to-back wins over SUNY Canton and Milwaukee School of Engineering … stole a base against St. John Fisher … enjoyed 10 multiple-hit games. Before RIT: Played three years of varsity baseball at Brighton High School … senior captain … earned All-Monroe County second team honors in 2011 and 2012 … was an All-Monroe County honorable mention selection in 2010 … Brighton’s Most Improved Player in 2010 … helped lead squad to the Section V Semifinals in 2011 and 2012 … hit .406 with 22 RBI’s during the 2012 season … hit .375 with 50 RBI’s in 60 career games … also played three years of varsity hockey.
