Biography

2017: Served as one of RIT’s three captains … enjoyed a tremendous final season, setting career-highs in virtually every offensive category, including hits (38), total bases (64), runs batted in (33), runs scored (31), walks (18), doubles (11) and home runs (5) … tied for third among all Liberty League hitters in home runs and RBIs … his five homers were tied for the sixth most in one season at the university … his strong work behind the plate allowed RIT’s pitching staff to enjoy its best season in program history … team earned run average of 3.19 was 13th in all of Division III … earned All-Liberty League second team honors … named the Liberty League Tournament Most Valuable Player … winner of RIT’s A. Stephen Walls Award for excellent leadership … named to the D3baseball.com National Team of the Week, May 9 … Liberty League Player of the Week, May 15 … named the RIT Male Athlete of the Week, May 15 … hit .600 (6-for-10) with six runs scored, four RBIs and two walks in the Liberty League Tournament … hit a towering two-run home run in the Liberty League Championship game against Clarkson … homered to give RIT the lead for good in a late season matchup against nationally-ranked rival St. John Fisher … was 3-for-5 with two doubles, a long home run and three RBIs in a 12-2 win over Rochester … was 3-for-5 with a double and three RBIs in the next contest against Keuka … also homered in wins over FDU-Florham and Vassar … was 3-for-5 with a double and career-high four runs scored in a 12-11 win at Rensselaer … had 12 multiple-hit contests … threw out 15 of 44 would-be base stealers (34.1 percent) … led team with 300 putouts and recorded a .991 fielding percentage … defensively, had 18 putouts against Rochester and 16 in the NCAA Tournament contest against Lesley … hit .278 with two homers and 18 RBIs in 23 Liberty League regular season contests. 2016: Appeared in 24 games, making 22 starts, primarily behind the plate … hit one homer, added one triple, and two doubles, while scoring 11 runs and adding 11 walks … hit a long solo home run in game one of a doubleheader against Liberty League foe Rochester … tripled in a run and scored in game two … went 2-for-3 with a double, walk, and two runs scored in a win over Bard … walked and scored two runs in a 15-inning victory over nationally-ranked Southern Maine …  went 2-for-3 with a double at Vassar … threw out four potential base stealers. 2015: Appeared in 23 contests, starting 20 … slammed two home runs and added 13 runs batted in … had one home run and five RBIs in Liberty League play … was 2-for-5 with a triple, home run, and three RBIs in a wild 16-13 win over St. Lawrence … career-best 3-for-5 with a double, two runs scored, and two RBIs in RIT’s 9-5 win over Clarkson in the Liberty League Tournament … drilled a two-run home run against Oswego State … reached base three times in wins over Houghton and St. John Fisher … stole a base in a win over Vassar … threw out five potential base stealers in 24 attempts … made just one error in 128 attempts for a .992 fielding percentage. 2014: Appeared in 20 games, starting 12 … had nine hits… hit two doubles and one triple … hit by two pitches … made his collegiate debut against UMass-Dartmouth, scoring one run … recorded one hit and batted in a season-high two runs in a win against Kalamazoo … was 2-for-3 including a double, with two runs scored and one RBI in the season finale against The College at Brockport … threw out three would be base stealers, including two in one game against Union.
