Dave Kajganich begins his third season as a volunteer hitting coach for the Tigers in 2017. Under his tutelage last season, RIT hitters recorded 548 total bases, just four off the all-time school mark, while setting program records with 73 doubles and 104 extra-base hits.
In 2015, Kajganich helped the Tigers enjoy one of their finest seasons in program history, finishing with a 23-15 record, while advancing to the Liberty League Championship game for the first time. The Tigers set countless school records, including most runs scored (289), runs batted in (250), and walks (186).
Kagjanich has nearly 20 years of experience coaching at the high school and junior college level, in addition to mentoring showcase travel teams. He has served as a professional hitting instructor for over 11 years, instructing both amateur and professional players.
Kajganich resides in North Royalton, Ohio with his wife, Lynn. Son Brett is a captain on the RIT baseball team and is entering his final season in 2017.
