Brett Kajganich begins his fourth season as a volunteer assistant coach for the RIT baseball team in 2020-21. Kajganich has been a part of the RIT baseball family since joining as a player in 2013.

Kajganich was a team captain in 2017, helping lead RIT to its finest season in program history. The Tigers won 33 games, its first Liberty League Championship and advanced to the NCAA Tournament for the first time.

That season, Kajganich garnered ABCA/All-New York Region second team honors and All-Liberty League first team accolades. He was named to the Liberty League Championship All-Tournament Team selection and broke RIT's single-season record with 16 doubles. Kajganich finished second on the team in hitting with a .337 batting average to go along with 56 hits, 80 total bases, two home runs and 39 RBIs, while slugging .482 to go along with a .426 on-base percentage. He tied the single-season school record with 166 at-bats, his 56 hits were fifth most in one season at the university, while the 39 RBIs were sixth most. Kajganich reached base safely in 41 of 42 games in 2017.

When Kajganich finished his playing career in 2015, he was tied for sixth all-time at the university with 30 doubles and was in the top-20 with 187 total bases, 137 hits and 83 runs batted in.

He earned his bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from the university.
