Adam Potter begins his 10th season as an assistant coach for the RIT baseball team in 2020-21. Potter will work primarily with the infielders.
RIT’s middle infielders Navada Waterman and Daniel Capra combined to post a .972 fielding percentage, as RIT’s overall .973 fielding percentage in 2017 was a school record. The Tigers won a school-record 33 games in 2017, won its first Liberty League Championship and advanced to the NCAA Division III Baseball Championship for the first time in 2017. RIT’s coaching staff was honored as 2017 Liberty League Baseball Coaching Staff of the Year.
RIT advanced to the 2018 Liberty League Championship Tournament for the third time in four seasons and won 20 games.
Potter graduated from Penfield High School in 2005. He was a three-year starter for the baseball team, playing both second base and shortstop. Potter graduated summa cum laude from the University of Pennsylvania in 2009 with a degree in anthropology.
Potter currently resides in Rochester and serves as an Associate Director of Prospect Research in RIT's office of Development and Alumni Relations.
