Join the Sentinel Society
Each year, 675 student-athletes participate on 24 varsity athletic teams; The
Sentinel Society recognizes a community of leadership donors who make a meaningful annual investment in the university and in our Athletics program. Together, these donors play a pivotal role in providing gifts that support the most pressing and immediate needs within our Department. For example, gifts help fund special team trips, equipment, leadership development, and more. RIT's Intercollegiate Athletics programs play an essential role in teaching students to conduct themselves with honesty and integrity, make sacrifices, strive for excellence, and preserve through adversity, while developing a commitment to teamwork and service to the community. With a multi-year commitment of at least $1,000 per year, members ensure this important work.

Phase I of this project was completed in Fall 2022 which included the installation of a brand new, fully lighted, turf now known as "Doug May Field."
- Baseball and Softball upgrades - All-weather turf fields, including logos behind each home plate and in the outfields, along with new dugouts, batting cages and bullpens were installed before the start of the 2022 season. Expanded bleachers were also constructed at both venues prior to the 2023 season.
- Track and Field Facility – The track and field facility was removed from its previous location inside Tiger Stadium and relocated across Andrews Drive as an independent facility located next to the RIT softball field. A modern, synthetic track surface was installed, along with an all-weather turf infield and upgraded throwing areas.
