Biography

Career: RIT’s all-time leader with five shutouts … seventh with 148 strikeouts … just outside top-10 all-time at the university with 13 wins, two saves, and 180 1/3 innings pitched.

2016: Earned All-Liberty League Second Team honors … led all RIT pitchers with four wins, six complete games, two shutouts, 55 strikeouts, while firing 56 innings … had an incredible strikeout to walk ratio of 55-5 … had third best strikeout to walk ratio (11-1) in all of Division III … allowed just 0.8 walks per nine innings, fifth best in Division III … opponents hit just .243 against him … recorded a 2.73 earned run average overall … was 3-3 with six complete games and two shutouts in six Liberty League contests with a 2.25 ERA and 43 strikeouts in 44 innings … six complete games were tied for 16th most in Division III … fired an 80-pitch one-hit shutout with just one walk and career-best 10 strikeouts in a 6-0 win over Rensselaer to set the RIT career record … threw a three-hit shutout, striking out five batters in a 1-0 win over Clarkson … completed his collegiate career with a 109 pitch complete game with nine strikeouts in a 7-3 victory over Bard … also earned a win over Elmhurst … did not walk more than a batter in all nine starts … third in the league with 55 strikeouts … named the RIT Male Athlete of the Week, April 18 … all six of Cohall's starts in Liberty League play were complete games … added complete game efforts against Union, Rochester, and a nine-inning start at Vassar … threw just 97 pitches in the nine-inning complete-game at Vassar, a 2-0 loss … Tigers scored just five runs in his four defeats … lowered his ERA from 4.91 to 2.45 by allowing just three earned runs in a 22 inning stretch, March 26 to April 17 … compiled an 17 2/3 inning scoreless streak over four appearances, April 10 to April 24. 2015: Earned All-Liberty League second team accolades ... served in a valuable swingman role, mostly as a starter, but helped the team out of the bullpen, appearing in 12 contests … finished with three victories, two saves, and a 3.64 ERA in 42 innings pitched, striking out 36 batters, while walking just 10 … allowed opposing batters to hit just .246, eighth best in the Liberty League … tied for second in the conference with two saves … named the Liberty League Pitcher of the Week, April 27 … needed just 77 pitches for his third career shut out, as he scattered just two hits in a 5-0 win over Union … picked up his first collegiate save, firing three scoreless, hitless innings with a season-high six strikeouts to close out a 6-1 win over St. Lawrence … earned a six-out save to lift RIT to the Liberty League Tournament Championship round, as RIT defeated Clarkson … picked up the win in relief the day before, throwing 1 2/3 innings in a 10-8 win over Rensselaer … picked up his first win of the season with five strikeouts in a win over Elmira … recorded a 3.18 ERA, holding opponents to a .183 batting average in 28 1/3 innings of work in Liberty League play. 2014: Emerged as a dominant starting pitcher for the Tigers, leading the team with four wins, while recording a 2.52 earned run average and 1.02 WHIP in 50 innings pitched … struck out 35 batters, while walking just seven … led the Tigers with four complete games … did not allow an earned run over 21 consecutive innings, all against Liberty League foes … recorded his second career shutout in a 4-0 win over St. Lawrence … earned Liberty League Pitcher of the Week honors, April 21 … struck out a career-high nine batters while walking just one and allowing three hits in a complete-game victory over Bard … struck out eight batters, while walking one and allowing four hits in a 2-1 victory over Skidmore … fired 6 1/3 innings of three-hit ball, allowing one earned run in a 4-2 win over Rochester … earned the win in his final start of the season, as RIT defeated The College at Brockport, 11-3 … allowed just one home run in 50 innings. 2013: Second among all RIT pitchers with a 3.34 earned run average … held opposing batters to a .248 batting average … made his collegiate debut and won, allowing just four hits and one run over six innings of work in a 4-1 win over Skidmore … threw a nine-inning complete-game shutout, scattering seven hits, while striking out a season-best five hitters in a 20-0 win over Vassar … allowed four hits and two runs, while striking out four batters over six innings in a no-decision against Rochester … threw three innings of scoreless relief in a win over Houghton … allowed just four earned runs over his final 25 2/3 innings of the season (1.40 ERA). Before RIT: Played three years of varsity baseball at Walter Panas High School … was 12-3 in his high school career with a 1.46 earned run average, seven shutouts, and a no-hitter … as a junior, went 6-1 with a 0.78 ERA and a no-hitter … earned All-Section I honors … named to the North County New All-Star Team … Walter Panas Team MVP.
