2012-13: Played in all 38 games … tied for the team lead among first-year players with 16 points on three goals and 13 assists … made his collegiate debut in the season opener, a 5-4 overtime win over No. 3 Michigan … scored his first collegiate goal, RIT’s first of the 2012-13 season, late in the first period of the contest at Michigan … dished out a career-best three assists and was plus-2 in a 5-3 win over Sacred Heart … his second collegiate goal turned out to be the game-winning goal in RIT’s 2-1 win over American International in game one of the Atlantic Hockey Association First Round series … was plus-3 with an assist the next night, a 7-1 RIT win over AIC … also scored RIT’s lone goal in game two of the AHA Quarterfinals, a 2-1 loss to No. 15 Niagara … had nine assists in 27 Atlantic Hockey Association contests … won 76 face-offs … fired 43 shots on goal … Tigers were 7-4-2 when he recorded at least one point. 2012-13 STATS
Before RIT: Mitchell led the Alberni Valley Bulldogs of the British Columbia Hockey League (BCHL) with 58 points on 13 goals and 45 assists in 59 games last season ... scored seven power-play goals … in three seasons with the Bulldogs, Mitchell scored 33 goals and dished out 105 assists for 138 points in 173 games … tallied 62 points (17-45-62) in 58 regular season games and chipped in with six points in four postseason contests during the 2010-11 season.
