Biography

Career: Leaves RIT as the Tigers’ all-time leader in steals with 179 … hit two career game-winning 3-pointers, the first to beat previously undefeated Ithaca during the 2008-09 season, the second knocking off Nazareth during the 2010-11 season.

2010-11: Appeared in all 25 games … made six starts … was second in the Empire 8 in steals, averaging 1.96 per game … was second on the team with 2.84 steals per game … was fourth on the team with 6.9 points per game … was 8-for-10 from the field, scoring a season best 16 points off the bench in a 79-71 loss at Nazareth … grabbed a season high eight rebounds in an 81-76 loss against Ithaca … had a season best seven assists in a 90-83 loss at Hartwick … tied a career best with five steals to go along with six assists and 12 points in the season finale against Alfred … hit his second career long-range buzzer beater to take down Nazareth 82-81 … shot 44 percent from the field and 75 percent from the line … scored in double figures five times.

2009-10: Appeared in 22 games … made 17 starts … was fourth in the Empire 8, averaging 1.62 steals per game … eighth in the conference, and first on RIT, averaging 3.4 assists per game … second on the team, averaging 4.6 boards per game … started the final 16 games of the season … was 5-for-5 from the field en route to 11 points and a season-high eight assists in a 89-69 win over Utica … scored a career-best 19 points to go along with eight rebounds and three steals in a 77-73 win over Ithaca … recorded a double-double, scoring 10 points to go along with a season-best 10 boards in a 58-45 win over Alfred … made seven free throws in a 75-62 win over Elmira … recorded a season-high four steals against St. John Fisher and Alfred … blocked two shots in back-to-back wins over Utica and Alfred … shot 47 percent from the field … scored in double figures eight times.

2008-09: Earned a reputation of making clutch shots in tough situations … averaged 8.1 points, 4.5 rebounds, 4.1 assists and 2.0 steals per game … recorded his first triple-double, scoring a career-best 18 points, grabbing a career-high 11 rebounds, and dishing out 10 assists, to go along with five steals against Rochester … 55 steals are fifth most in one season at RIT … hit the game-winning 3-pointer from mid-court, breaking an 84-84 tie and lifting the Tigers to a dramatic 87-84 win over previously undefeated and nationally ranked Ithaca … blocked a shot with 10 seconds left, then made the second free throw with 1.8 seconds left, lifting RIT to a 62-61 win over SUNY Brockport … dished out a season-best 11 assists in the championship game of the Harold J. Brodie Tournament against SUNY Oneonta … scored 15 points to go along with seven boards and four assists in the dramatic 76-71 overtime win over Nazareth in the Empire 8 Championship … went for 13 points and six assists in the NCAA First Round contest against Salem State … scored in double figures nine times.

2007-08: Appeared in 24 games, with 11 starts … made his first start in the season-opener against York (N.Y.) … named the Empire 8 Rookie of the Week, Jan. 7 … garnered RIT Male Athlete of the Week honors, Jan. 7 … second on the team in assists (70), steals (38), and blocks (13) … dished out a season-best 12 assists to go along with four steals and two blocks, leading RIT to a 91-85 win over nationally ranked Stevens … recorded season-highs of 27 minutes played, 10 points, eight boards, and five steals against Hartwick … also scored 10 points in the season finale against Elmira.

Before RIT: Played four years of varsity basketball at Strongsville High School for Head Coach Joe Lynch … averaged 11 points and 7.0 rebounds and 5.0 assists per game as a senior … also had 132 steals … team captain … named the Pioneer Conference Most Valuable Player … earned All-Pioneer Conference and All-Sun News first team honors … Associated Press All-District second team honors … led Strongsville to a 76-14 record and Elite 8 appearances in the Ohio State Tournament in four seasons … school’s all-time leader in field goal percentage (69.7 percent) and blocks per game (3.1).
