2011: Appeared in 13 games on the mound … gave up 20 hits in 14.1 innings pitched… got a win against Stevens, pitching one inning and allowing two hits … tallied saves against Medaille and Brockport … allowed just one extra base hit.

2010: Emerged as RIT's closer... appeared in 15 games, fifth most in one season at RIT... allowed just five earned runs over his last 19 innings... ended the season with a six-inning scoreless streak... picked up his first collegiate save, throwing two scoreless innings in a 4-2 win over Utica... pitched 1.2 shutout innings against Rochester to earn the save in a 5-3 win... pitched four innings of relief, allowing three hits and two runs to earn his first collegiate win, 8-4 over St. John's.

2009: Appeared in two games … pitched two innings of scoreless relief … made his collegiate debut, allowing one hit, and striking out a batter in a scoreless inning of a 15-5 win over Hilbert … also threw a scoreless inning of relief in an 11-3 win over Medaille.

2008: Did not play.

Before RIT: Earned varsity baseball letters and played four years at Pittsford Sutherland High School … team captain … helped lead Sutherland to consecutive Section V Class A Championships … also wrestled.

Personal: Environmental science major … son of Rebecca Sumner and James Yarrington.
